Nkhotakota District is gearing up to host the Lake of Stars Malawi Arts Festival for the second time, following its successful debut last year. This year's edition is scheduled to take place at Fish Eagle Bay Lodge from October 17 to 19. After a brief hiatus, the festival returned last year, albeit in October instead of its usual September slot, due to the country's general elections. Sharmila Elias Taijala, director of Dusty Orange Production, the festival's organizers spoke to Daily Times, saying that, "they are committed to delivering a world-class experience that showcases the best of Malawian arts, while celebrating past achievements and nurturing emerging talent.
